Our Mission

RTB2 exists to make high-quality respiratory therapy education freely accessible to everyone — practicing clinicians, RT students, educators, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff who work with respiratory patients.

Respiratory therapy is a technically demanding specialty. Clinicians must maintain working knowledge of mechanical ventilation, airway management, gas exchange physiology, pharmacology, and an expanding range of monitoring and treatment modalities. Good reference tools support that knowledge — helping clinicians recall detail quickly at the point of need and stay current with evolving practice.

RTB2 is that reference. Free, clinically accurate, and built by respiratory therapy professionals who understand the workflow.

Who RTB2 Serves

Respiratory Therapists

RTs at every experience level — new grads establishing clinical foundations, experienced clinicians maintaining current knowledge, and travelers adapting to new facility environments.

RT Students

Students in accredited respiratory therapy programs using RTB2 alongside classroom instruction and clinical rotations to reinforce concepts and build clinical vocabulary.

RT Educators

Program directors and clinical instructors who incorporate RTB2 content as a supplementary reference resource in RT education.

Interdisciplinary Clinicians

Nurses, physicians, and other clinical staff who work alongside respiratory therapists and want accurate, accessible references for respiratory care topics.

Why RTB2 Was Built

RTB2 was created by respiratory therapists who encountered the same frustration most clinicians face: generic medical references that don't speak to the specific knowledge needs of respiratory therapy practice.

General medical apps cover topics broadly. RT students and clinicians need depth — the kind that explains how to interpret a waveform, set initial ventilator parameters, select the right oxygen delivery device for a COPD patient, or respond systematically to a high-pressure alarm.

RTB2 fills that gap: respiratory therapy-specific content, written with clinical precision, organized for quick reference, and accessible without a subscription or login.

What Makes RTB2 Different

RT-Specific Content

Built specifically for respiratory therapists, not adapted from general medical references. Topics, language, and clinical context reflect actual RT practice.

Editorial Independence

Not affiliated with manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, or healthcare organizations. Content reflects clinical evidence, not commercial relationships.

Fast and Accessible

Designed for quick reference. No login required, no paywalls, no friction — just clean, organized content available when you need it.

Educational Focus

Every page is educational reference — not clinical decision support, not app advertising. Content supports learning and professional development.

Credential & Professional Tools

State licensure guides, credential tracking tools, and CEU organization features support the full scope of an RT's professional life.

Transparent Standards

Clear editorial policy, consistent disclosures, and regular content updates — so users always know what RTB2 is and what it is not.

Educational Reference Only

RTB2 is an educational reference tool. It does not provide medical advice, clinical decision support, or personalized guidance for individual patient care scenarios. All content is intended to support learning and professional development.

Clinical decisions are the responsibility of licensed healthcare professionals. Always follow your facility's protocols, current clinical guidelines, and qualified medical direction.

RTB2 is not HIPAA compliant and must never be used to enter, store, or transmit patient information.

Privacy

RTB2 does not collect protected health information and does not require user accounts. The web platform uses standard analytics to understand traffic patterns and improve content. The mobile app is designed with minimal data collection.
